Doctrinal Statement / What We Believe
We believe the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are
written inspired and the trustworthy Word of God is the complete
revelation of His will for the salvation of all human beings.
We believe human nature began with two historical person, male
and female, created in the image of God. We believe they were created
perfect, but sinned and plunged themselves and all mankind after them
into sin, guilt, suffering and death.
We believe the substitutionary death and burial of God’s Son,
Jesus Christ, and his bodily resurrection provided the only means for
justification, forgiveness, and salvation for all that believe in Him.
We believe all people are born with a sinful nature and
separated from God. Only those who believe in the finished work of
Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and are true members of the
church spending eternity with Christ.
We believe the Holy Spirit makes the presence of Jesus Christ
real in the lives of believers, and that He comforts guides convicts,
and enables believers to live in ways that honor Him.
We believe water baptism symbolizes the believers union in the
death, burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe we
should observe the Lord’s Supper through Holy Communion in an effort
to commemorate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the personal and bodily return of our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ.
